Seasoning Your Cast Iron

Proper seasoning creates a natural non-stick surface and prevents rust.
Here's how to do it:

  1. Clean pan thoroughly and dry completely
  2. Apply thin layer of oil (vegetable, canola, or sunflower work well)
  3. Place upside down in 375°F (190°C) oven for 1 hour
  4. Turn off oven and let the pan cool completely inside
  5. Repeat 2-3 times for best results
